"... Here come the people almost from whole Europe. On the streets of Rakhiv you meet with thin tall English, with short black-haired talkative French, with self-confident, little bit proud and less talkative Czechs, sad character Poles, cheerful Ukrainians from both sides of Carpathians. Besides, almost at every step you can meet strong gray-haired Germans, which in particular in a winter season fill in the streets of Rakhiv. Also it is necessary to admit, that all these strangers are very satisfied by Rakhiv, population, cleanliness, restorations, and who from them once was in Rakhiv, always tries again to return there". The known public - political figure of Transcarpathian region Stepan Klochurak wrote this about the mountain town. The article name was ╚Rakhiv is Guzul Paris╩. The article was published more than 60 years ago. Nowadays Rakhiv has got the modern traits. However people here, as well as earlier, give the tourist a cordial welcome. Mountains, which surround the town, in exactly the same way are high and picturesque. The tourist - sanitary complex "Tysa" is located in the city centre, in 2 km from the railway station and 400 Л from the bus station. It functions all the year round.

The special interest represent the excursions to a sign "the Centre of Europe", which was established the last century after the geographical survey, which have been carried out by the scientists of Austro-Hungary. The sign is in 15 minutes of driving from Rakhiv. In three tens kilometers there are the salt lakes of a settlement Solotvino, where in summer improve the health of tens thousand tourists. Its own skis-towing route (900 m long, the difference of height 220 m) for winter skiing is in 800 m from the tourist center. In half kilometre there is the river beach on a coast of Tysa.

Journey: to Lviv, then by train Lviv - Rakhiv; or to Ivano-Frankivsk, then by diesel engine - train Ivano-Frankivsk - Rakhiv. According to the done early agreement with the tourist center, the guests are met by bus, minibus, or car. This kind of the transport drives the tourist to the place of the rest.
